Brief: As part of the Liverpool Biennial 2010, produce a print promotion collection for a sprecific exhibition/artist.
Upon looking at several exhibitions, I stumbled on the work of Sachiko Abe. Her installation takes place at the A Foundation. The act involves Abe, whom cuts an A4 sheet of white paper into fine shreads until it has been used. I was immediately drawn to this specific exhibition, and chose to use this as a starting point.
I decided to pin down ideas to involve the practice of Abe; cutting and paper. I began by photographing shreads of paper, and experimenting with photography and text; as seen below.
