The brief was to create a hand-made type that was suggesting a topic / current issue in today's society.
I decided to focus upon Global Warming and to help raise awarenesss of this matter. By choosing an environmant based subject, it allowed me to use natural (nature's resources) and raw materials to help me produce a type design that would reinforce my statment; ie - it changes it's physical state hence forth making my statment more powerful.
